"Snow on Mt. Silver is an alias I created to be able to put more music out there, since
Nice Nature's output is a bit more restrictive with what we want to put out. With SoMS, I wanted to be able to just put out whatever I wanted, but after picking out the name itself, it kind of inspired this "mysterious"-ish vibe, lending itself to the old Pokemon creepypasta it takes its name from. So, I tried to put out something that kind of fit that vibe. I picked up some cover art from this
old live performance on YouTube, found some interesting samples and such. I wanted it to look like an older kind of release, maybe something you'd just randomly find on YouTube uploaded on some random channel, but while making the album, what I wanted to put on kind of strayed from that vision a bit.
For example, Turning Wheels is this remake of a song from my older project Shinkai De, and that was pretty much the standard for what I wanted this album to sound like. But I got more ideas for personal songs, which sprouted the track My Brother Dream Journey. It's definitely a more personal reflection with an explicit story, but I'll wait for someone to interview me on it before I let that go, LOL. I guess it made the album feel a little less cohesive, but I just hope that the individual tracks are enjoyable themselves. That's what matters. Plus, I made the album so I could just make whatever I want, and I made what I wanted, so I'm pretty happy. Whether I'll continue with this alias or just make others ('cause having a bunch of names is always fun), I'll leave it up to the future." - Mouse :)
